Mount Royal Park (Landscape Architect: Federick Law Olmsted)

Park landscape embracing almost five hundred acres on the summit of Mount Royal. Although changes were made from the original design this park still reflects the Olmsted’s design principles. Lookouts on the mountain give panoramic views of the city. Near Beaver Lake is a permanent exhibit of sculptures dating from a recent international symposium attended by renowned sculptors (Schoenauer: 1967).
